1. Check if you are entering your password correctly (it can be that trivial). If you get error like Unable to activate. Check your password. then this is almost certainly the problem.
2. If you get other error - verify the following - firewall may be blocking yDecode, try to disable it for a short time, then try to activate, if it works re-enable firewall and look at its settings to allow yDecode to always pass through.
3. If you are using software like Norton, McAfee or similar for intrusion prevention, it might also block yDecode from connecting to the newsgroups server and from activating itself. Try to disable it for a short time to see if that helps. If it does, set it up that yDecode is always allowed to pass through.
1. Press Test Config button. Make sure that there is no text marked with red color. If there is, look at the description of error and try to fix the problem until it is gone. If you cannot fix it yourself, send us the text output you get and we'll help you. Test Config works only with Outlook Express.
